In a surprising move, Draftkings is bringing us a new tournament and even a few new teams with a 1 AM slate tonight. This slate features the event, Perfect World Asia League Summer 2020. This event started on Jun 24th and so far every team has played 3 matches. This is a 10 team event with the top 8 teams moving on from the group stage and moving on to a single elimination tournament. Let’s jump right in!

Lucid Dream Vs. Beyond

Our first match features a Lucid Dream team who is currently in 8th place with a 1-2 record through 3 matches. They take on a Beyond squad who is sitting in 2nd with a 2-1 record. These 2 have met twice this month already with Beyond sweeping both, though both were close with Lucid Dream wining double digit rounds in all 4 maps. Not a surprise then to see a fairly close spread with Lucid Dream +143 dogs. With the close line, PTC and foxz are cash viable here, though both priced accordingly. JohnOlsen and SeveN89 are some value options who are also viable in what should be a fairly close match.

As mentioned above, Beyond are sitting at 2nd in the group standings through 3 matches and are 2-0 against Lucid Dream this month. They are -189 favorites here, which is automatically going to lead to ownership as the most common move is to double stack the favorites on 2 game slates in cash. Olivia and qqGOD are the clear top 2 options while Kntz is a nice cheap way to get exposure.

Consider: PTC, Foxz (Cash/GPP) JohnOlsen, Seven89 (Value) Olivia, qqGOD (Cash/GPP) Kntz (Value)

Prediction: 2-1 Beyond

Mazaalai Vs. Bren

Mazaalai are the slates biggest dogs at +160. Not a surprise considering they are the only team at this event who have yet to win. Currently sitting at 0-3 with a dreadful -41! For reference, the next closest, which is ironically their opponent today, is a -26. I have no interest in anybody in cash here. If running some MME, Zikenberg and Tsogoo are the stack.

While Bren is currently sitting in 9th place at 1-2 with a -21 through 3 matches, that is still much better than Mazaalai. Leading to Bren being the slates largest favorites at -213. You can expect a full stack to be chalk here and they actually offer 4 viable plays, led by Papichulo and witz.

Consider: Papichulo, witz, JA (Cash/GPP) Derek (Value)

Prediction: 2-0 Bren

Good Luck!

Note: Bold indicates a stronger lean for that player. All stats are over the course of the last 3 months.
