It’s Week 7 of the Draftkings/Arena Football League and this weeks DK Showdown pits the undefeated Albany Empire (6-0) against the second place Baltimore Brigade (3-3).  Salaries listed are Showdown salaries.

                                                     Tommy Grady

                                                           Shane Boyd

It’s the battle of the veterans. Tommy Grady ($15,300), the AFL Living Legend against the gunslinger Shane Boyd ($12,600).  Last week Grady had his 3rd TD game out of the last 4–generating 36.96 fantasy points,  The most reliable player in the game with a safe floor is well worth the investment. He’s up against a defense that has given up 26 passing TD’s this season and the second most passing yards (236.2).  This is a sneaky shootout game.

With the possibility that this game shoots out Boyd could be in for another 30 point game this week.  He’s a mid tier QB with really good receiving options.

The only game of the week with fantasy use fullbacks.  Baltimore’s Rory Nixon ($4,200) leads all fullbacks with rushing TD’s and has a 4 game scoring streak. May draw fantasy consideration.

Mykel Benson ($4,800) of Albany leads all fullbacks in rushing yards and 5 total TD’s.

Malachi Jones ($16,200) comes more expensive than his QB but he isn’t the face of the league for no reason.  The 2018 AFL rookie of the year and former Chicago Bear leads the league in receptions, receiving yards and TD’s. Along with Grady he will be a popular captain.

                                                         Malachi Jones

Quentin Sims ($10,200) is the #2 for Grady. In a great GPP spot after a career day last weekend with 6 catches for 89 yards and 4 TD’s.

Keep an eye on Collin Taylor ($5,100).  A possible punt option as he slides into #3 with Demetres Stephons going on the IR,

Joe Hills ($13,800) has the narrative as he returns to his former team where he starred last year with Jones.  He comes in with his unbelievable 98 straight game with a TD intact.

Hills is no longer the prime focus receiver that he once was.  He now shares time with Brandon Collins ($11,400) and Milton Williams ($9,300). Even though Hills (9 TD’s) is the first look in the end zone both Collins and Williams have 6 TD’s apiece .  All 3 receivers should be happy with their workload since Albany allows the most pass attempts and passing yards per game this season.
