Cubs are 46-22 in last 68 games at Wrigley against RH
Cubs are 9-0 in Hendricks’ last 9 starts against Card
Cards last 5 games have gone to the UNDER
Cards are just 6-21 in their last 27 games art Wrigley
Marcell Ozuna is the only player on both teams that has found some success against his opponent. Against Hendricks he has a slash of .346/.414/.615. More importantly he has hit two home runs to go along with 9 RBI’s
Adam Wainwright ($8,800) showed glimpses of 2010 last week when she truck out 8 Cubs and allowed zero over 8 innings. The former ace and perennial top 5 Cy Young vote getter is in a different stage of his career and is no longer feared like days gone past. He still is capable of producing a ceiling around 22-24 DK but even with the wind blowing in he has a battle on his hands.
Besides the wind blowing in Kyle Hendricks ($11,000) is the second reason the Cards implied total is only 3.3 Hendricks owns RH this season :
The only Cards bats that really can be used are Dexter Fowler ($6,200); Matt Carpenter ($7,600) or Kolton Wong ($6,400). With Carpenter as a lead off he can be a cash play with Fowler (5th) and Wong (6th) gpp’s.
Hendricks should be in the Captains chair due to his dominance over RH bats and the fact he has been nearly lights out in Wrigley.
It’s all left handed bats for the Cubbies today. Just look at Wainwrights splits this year:
Looking at the Cubs order all of the following are in play:
Kyle Schwarber ($7,400)
Anthony Rizzo ($9,600)
Carlos Gonzalez ($4,200)
Jason Heyward ($8,000)
Hendricks as captain, one of the 3 Cardinals (Carpenter/Fowler/Wong) and load up on Cubs left hand bats. And the only play left is $$ in your bankroll.
