LPL/LCK – Summer Split – 7/4

Finally the LCK is back! This gives us 4 game slates on DK and FD instead of 2. These are best of 3, and remember LCK DOES NOT release starters before hand.

LPL Standings

Hope is back tonight for EDG which certainly makes this game interesting. EDG has been limping through the split so far and is a prime candidate to get upset by a Rogue Warriors team that is much better than their record. I expect this to be a pretty bloody matchup and for tournaments you’re going to want to load up on both sides. Give me RW in a 2-1 upset win and end up being on the optimal GPP lineup.

RW: Haro/Ruby/Zwuji

EDG: Aodi/Scout/Hope

At this point I dread seeing IG on a DFS slate because you simply never know which team is going to show up. The slate breaking IG of old or the disinterested mistake filled IG we have seen this split. I’m not even interested in using IG in tournaments right now as they seem to lack upside lately to be in the optimal lineup. On the other side, JDG is starting to play like the JDG from spring split. Vegas has them as a small favorite here but I think they end up handling this IG team relatively easy. I love Zoom and Kanavi tonight to make life diffiult for TheShy and Ning. Give me JDG in a 2-1 series with a realistic possibility of a 2-0.

IG: Rookie
JDG: Everyone

LCK Standings

Damwon Gaming gets the dream matchup against a team that dies a whopping 174 times in 12 games. DWG stacks in cash are the move. This should be a 2-0 stomp for our boys from Damwon Gaming.

DWG: Everyone
HLE: Fade

Team Dynamics vs Sanbox Gaming

This will be yet another 2-0 stomp in the LCK tonight. The decision for most people will come down to whether they stack DWG or TD. To me the choice for cash games is to stack 4 DWG guys but to seriously consider running the TD team spot as a one off. Sandbox couldn’t win a baron fight if their life depended on it right now and Dynamics is one of the best teams in LCK when it comes to objectives. The issue for TD is they’re content completing objectives and only fighting when they absolutely have to. I think TD will smoke through this with 2 under 30 minute wins with kills under 15-16.

DYN: Kuzan/Rich/Team Spot
SB: Fade
