Orioles: Obviously the Yankees are a great stack tonight because Dan Straily sucks. You can use anyone there, but I want a piece of CC as well. He’s been getting extremely lucky all year, and its only a matter of time before things blow up. What a perfect spot for this to happen than right here with the Orioles. CC has a 5.47 xFIP, 47.2% Fly ball rate, a 46.4% hard contact rate, and is giving up 2.23 hr/9. I expect people to think CC is a safe play here, but I’m going to target the righties here. Mancini is my favorite by far, but i would follow that up with Villar, Nunez, Wilkerson, Alberto and Rickard. They should be pretty low owned so don’t be shy in mixing in some yankees or other stacks as well.
Twins: Matt Harvey alert! Harvey not striking anyone out, not getting anyone to chase, allowing a lot of hard contact, and a 4.37 xFIP. Twins are one of the best teams in baseball this year and this is another great spot for them tonight. I want to target the lefties here especially. Rosario, Kepler, Polanco, Castro at Catcher, and don’t overlook my boy Arraez if he’s in the lineup again. He’s been doing very well since getting starts. This should be an absolute blood bath. You can play the other guys too if you need to find guys that fit with your other stacks as well. Stack em!!
Braves: Jeff Samardzija is not a good pitcher. Despite being the cool guy that decided to choose baseball over football, he’s no longer good. 5.94 (!!!!) xFIP, 12% K rate, nearly 50% fly ball rate, tons of hard contact, and not getting anyone to chase. He gets destroyed by lefties, and we know the Braves some good ones. Top play here is Freeman, but I’m going to use the following as well: Donaldson, Riley, Albies (he’s been bad but this is a get-right spot) and Acuna. I expect them to go slightly lower owned, but will have a ton of upside
- Yankees (duh), Astros, Red Sox
- Charlie Blackmon
Pitchers To Consider:
- Cole Irvin
