Top Plays

Three of the best pitchers in MLB are going off tonight so you can’t go wrong with any of them. Gerrit Cole (NYY) led MLB with a 39.9% K rate while Max Scherzer (WAS) was 3rd at 35.1%.  Claytron Kershaw (LAD) is Mr. Consistency and gets the worst offense of the slate along with being the heaviest favorite (-310). All 3 were close to 90 pitches on last warm up start so there shouldn’t be any major pitch count concerns.

Clayton Kershaw (LAD) – DK Cash

Gerrit Cole (NYY) – FD Cash

Johnny Cueto (SFG)- GPP/Value/Punt

Will Smith (LAD) .381 ISO and .413 wOBA against RH and Gary Sanchez (NYY) .302 ISO and .358 wOBA are the class of the C position today; edge to Smith due to matchup.

Max Muncy (LAD) .372 wOBA, 44% HH, 17% BB rate is part of a crazy strong group of Dodger bats that feast on RH pitching- projected to bat 2nd.

Will Smith (LAD)- FD Cash C; DK 1B/C

Max Muncy (LAD) DK/FD Cash/GPP

Eric Thames (WAS) DK/FD GPP

Darin Ruf (SFG) Value $3,000 DK

Weakest spot on the slate. DJ LeMahieu (NYY) and Gleyber Torres (NYY) are expensive and in a tough matchups; Gavin Lux (LAD) got himself optioned which leaves Asdrubal Cabrera (WAS), who always maintains platoon advantage or one of the intriguing cheap SFG bats- Mauricio Dubon and Wilmer Flores.

Gleyber Torres (NYY) DK Cash/GPP

Wilmer Flores (SFG) FD Cash/Value; DK GPP

Mauricio Dubon 2B/SS (SFG) DK Cash/Value

Justin Turner (LAD) should be part of a high owned Dodger cash stack with a .363 career platoon wOBA and elite spot in batting order. Gio Urshela (NYY) is a little cheaper than Turner but in a much tougher match up against Mad Max.

Justin Turner (LAD) DK/FD Cash/GPP

Starlin Castro (WAS) DK Value

Carter Kieboom (WAS) FD Value

Toss up between Trea Turner (WAS), tough matchup but so many ways to score FP, and Corey Seager (LAD), who is in a great spot in the order against RH Cueto. Nod goes to Seager, who also owns a career 1.008 OPS and .421 wOBA with 3 HR and 6 RBI against Cueto.

Corey Seager (LAD) DK Cash/GPP

Gleyber Torres (NYY) FD Cash/GPP; DK GPP

Chris Taylor (LAD) FD Value

Mauricio Dubon 2B/SS (SFG) DK Value

Even on this 2 game slate the options in the outfield are elite as some of the best players in the game will be showcased tonight. Mookie Betts (LAD) and Cody Bellinger (LAD) lead the pack but it’s the value plays that will be key in rounding out your lineups and making the difference between cashing or not. Aaron Hicks (NYY), Victor Robles (WAS) and Joc Pederson (LAD) are all in play in value spots but you may want to wait and see what the SFG starting lineup looks like before locking in your last OF- you will need the salary relief and may find a cheap bat in a decent spot in the order.

Mookie Betts (LAD) DK/FD Cash/GPP

Cody Bellinger (LAD) DK/FD Cash/GPP

Juan Soto (WAS) DK Cash/GPP

Hunter Pence (SFG) FD Cash/GPP

Mike Yastrzemski (SFG); Victor Robles (WAS); Steven Duggar (SFG); Austin Slater (SFG) are all possible Value Plays.

Sneaky Pete Play Of The Day

Mauricio Dubon- SFG (DK $3,100/FD $2,300) With Brandon Belt and Evan Longoria both missing the start of the season there should be a spot for this prospect at the top or in the middle of the Giants order. Multi-position elgible with success against LH’s in the minors, Dubon makes for a sneaky play when you need some value in order to fit in all of the big sticks tonight.
