After last nights 11 game slate, which did not disappoint, we have a 3 game slate tonight. Should be a fairly straight forward slate with some predictable ownership. Let’s dig in!
First thing we notice is the slate high total for Colorado. What does this tell us? Fire up Nathan MacKinnon. He will be chalk, and for good reason. He is today’s lone “A+” play on our Report Card. We can safely assume that MacKinnon and his line/power play mates will see ownership. If Matt Murray starts, even bigger boost to Colorado.
For the other plays today, I want to highlight a few pretty drastic pricing difference between Fanduel and Draftkings. For a 3 game slate, we have some pretty big discrepancies between the 2 sites that are worth noting.
On Draftkings, MacKinnons line mates, Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen are both over a grand cheaper than Fanduel. Sebastian Aho and Evgeni Malkin also find themselves over a grand cheaper on Draftkings than Fanduel.
On Fanduel, Anthony Duclair and Bryan Rust continue to be under priced, with Duclair a whopping 2k cheaper while Rust is 1.4k cheaper than their Draftkings price. Robby Fabbri, Brady Tkachuk and Tyler Bertuzzi are also over a grand cheaper. Lastly, Dougie Hamilton is $800 cheaper.
Let’s take a look at some values to help you pay up for guys like MacKinnon.
Jared McCann- Double check the Pens projected lines a bit closer to lock, I suggest dailyfaceoff.com for lines. If McCann is on the top power play unit, he represents a solid value.
Filip Zadina/Filip Hronek- Dirt cheap exposure to the top power play unit. This is as high a total as you will see from Detroit all season, but for good reason. Ottawa gives up a slate high 3.87 goals per game on the road, 48.39 Corsi against and 9.87 high danger chances a game.
Dominik Kahun- Once again, we will need to confirm the Pens lines a bit closer to lock. If Kahun remains on the top line with Malkin and Rust, he is looking at huge usage and minutes with 2 guys in the top 12 of points per game.
Andre Burakovsky- Currently Burakovsky is slated to be on the top power play unit. If that remains the case (again, double check lines closer to lock!), Burakovsky represents a very cheap way to get exposure to the top power play unit.
Note: Keep an eye on the Carolina power play. Some people are projecting Martin Necas as potentially joining the top power play unit. If that is the case, he makes for a tremendous value, especially on Draftkings. If you find yourself in need of more value plays, try and find guys in a top 6 role with power play time!
