Tonight brings us another smaller slate with 5 total games. This isn’t a very good slate in my eyes and therefore I will be going a bit different style wise than my typical builds. Today I don’t mind grabbing some Rangers even though they are below 3 implied goals and I also don’t mind being a bit stack heavy if you feel strongly about a line. Let’s dig in.

Let’s take a look at Washington, who has the slates highest implied total.

Ovechkin is always going to garner ownership when Washington has the highest total, especially on a small slate. But don’t be afraid, especially in GPP’s, to fade him. As you can see, he actually is 6th on the team in points per game at home. He has done most of his goal scoring on the road this year. Jakub Vrana is a piece I really like today as he is red hot and got promoted to the top PP unit. But don’t be afraid to play any of the top 7 (Kuznetsov through Wilson) in the pic above. Even Lars Eller if you really need the savings.

Cash Stacks- Washington as mentioned above, St. Louis PP1, St. Louis PP2 (value), Boston 1 (always viable), Montreal PP1/2, New York Rangers PP1, New York Islanders PP1/2, Carolina PP1, Calgary PP1

GPP low owned stacks- Calgary PP1, New York Rangers PP1, Boston 1, Philly 1

This slate is flush with value plays. Let’s take a look at a few.

Ilya Kovalchuk– The move to Montreal and a top 6 role seems to have revitalized Kovalchuk. Points in 3 of 4 games with Montreal and huge minutes.

St. Louis 3- Playing really well right now and are very cheap.

Oskar Sundqvist- Promoted to the top line last game and responded with an assist and 5 shots. Only 12 minutes of ice time isn’t ideal, but points in 3 of last 4 and cheap.

Carolina PP2- entire unit is cheap.

Warren Foegele- cheapest piece of the Carolina top 6. Starting to see more ice time as well.

Jake DeBrusk (Draftkings Value)- DeBrusk is cheap exposure to the vaunted Boston top power play unit. He is 1.6k cheaper on Drafkings than Fanduel.
