11 game slate tonight with some massive totals. Including 6 teams projected 3.5 goals or higher and another 6 teams projected between 3 and 3.4 goals. That gives us plenty of teams to pick between for our cash plays and you should have no issues getting value plays from teams projected 3 or more goals. Let’s take a look at a the slate.

Here we have our top projected teams with New Jersey and Vancouver also projected 3 goals. These teams are where I personally will grabbing cash plays from while utilizing the team below this for GPP stacks. If we take a look at the line production section of today’s NHL cheat sheet, you will notice a few lines whose production stands out from the rest. Those lines are where I am prioritizing spending up.

Of the circled lines above, Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Max Pacioretty, Jonathan Huberdeau, David Pastrnak and Artemi Panarin are all “A+” plays on today’s Report Card. Those are my priority plays on today’s slate or at least exposure to those players in the form of cheaper line mates and/or power play mates. Roman Josi and Patrick Kane are the remaining 2 “A+” plays and both are viable as well.

In order to play a few of our priority plays today, we need some value! Here are a few value/punt plays to consider to help you fit today’s studs.

Ilya Kovalchuk- Gallagher looks set to return tonight, pushing Kovalchuk to the 2nd line and 2nd power play unit. But he still remains viable in a top 6 role with power play time for cheap.

Matt Grzelcyk- Torey Krug missed this morning skate and is questionable tonight with the flu. If he misses, look for Grzelcyk to take his spot on the top power play unit and provide amazing salary relief. Top priority value if Krug is out.

NY Rangers value- The Rangers are in a smash spot tonight and have one of the higher totals on the board. They offer a few nice value options sprinkled in to big roles. Pavel Buchnevich is on the top line and 2nd power play unit. Ryan Strome is too cheap on DK considering he has 8 points over the last games. Jesper Fast is a viable punt on the 2nd line. And a pair of defenders in Tony DeAngelo and Adam Fox are also viable plays under 5k on both sites.

Tampa Bay 2- While everyone plays Tampa Bay PP1, and rightfully so, consider the 2nd line if you need value. 6 goals and 6 assists combined over the last 5 games for Palat, Cirelli and Johnson.

Nashville 3- Grimaldi, Bonino and Smith have had staggeringly good possession numbers together and are quietly playing well with 6 goals an 5 assists over the last 5 games.

Chandler Stephenson- Stephenson has moved up to the top line with Karlsson and Smith, 2 guys who play well at home. He is also on the 2nd power play unit adding to his upside.

Nicolas Hague- 2.6k defensive punt. Projected to be on the 2nd power play unit.

Paul Stasny- Back centering for Stone and Pacioretty, 2 elite scorers. Has responded with 3 goals and 2 assists over his last 5 games. Also on the top PP unit.

Milan Lucic/Dillon Dube- Calgary continues to search for the right line combos. Tonight Lucic is penciled in the wing on the top line with Lindholm and Tkachuk while Dube is on the wing with Johnny Hockey and Monahan. Both near minimum priced valid punts.

GPP Stack- Calgary PP1, San Jose PP1, Edmonton PP1

Good luck!
