Rocket League DFS: Draftkings (Summer Shuffle) Breakdown 7/8

In Rocket League by devinLeave a Comment

We are back for some more Rocket League action! Today brings us a 2 game slate from the qualifying stage of Beyond The Summit: Summer Shuffle. This is a decent tournament with a 45k prize pool, so lots on the line for these teams. Todays teams all won their opening round match and have moved on to the semi finals where there are 2 qualifying spots up for grabs. These matches are best of 5. Let’s dig in!

As you can see, pretty straight forward here. Keep in mind the in game score is divided by 100. So if a player averages 400 points per game, that will be 4 points. We also see that Goals are weighted the heaviest. Keep that in mind when building. Now let’s take a look at some Vegas Odds (we will update these closer to lock as well!).

  • GP- Games Played
  • W%- Win Percent
  • SCPG- Score Per Game
  • OSCAPG- Opponent Score Against Per Game
  • GPG- Goals Per Game
  • OGAPG- Opponent Goals Against Per Game
  • APG- Assists Per Game
  • OAAPG- Opponents Assists Against Per Game
  • SAPG- Saves Per Game
  • OSAAPG- Opponents Saves Against Per Game
  • SHPG- Shots Per Game
  • OSHAPG- Opponents Shots Against Per Game

Team Stats

Plot Twist Vs. Charlotte Phoenix

Plot Twist

Plot Twist come in averaging the 2nd highest goals per game and also draw a matchup against a Charlotte Phoenix that is allowing the 2nd highest goals against. This puts all 3 guys in play with Mectos leading the way. Mectos has the highest individual rating on the slate at 1.12.

Charlotte Phoenix

This is a tough spot for CP as Plot Twist allow the lowest score, goals, assists and shots against on the slate. I prefer these guys in GPP only with Shadow and Dappur.

Omellete Vs. Stromboli

You may recognize the names Luke and Freshness from previous slates. They were 2/3rds of the former squad, Mirage (we used Mirage team stats for the above charts). They are joined by LionBlaze of 72PC for this tournament. Omelette are the slates lowest scoring squad in every category, but do draw a good matchup against a Stromboli team that is allowing the highest marks against in every category. This gives Omelette a boost, making LionBlaze and Freshness viable.

While Stromboli are the worst defensive team on the slate, they are also the best offensive team on the slate. Omelette isn’t exactly a shut down defense either, so certainly lends itself in Stromboli’s favor. AlRaz and Jpow have the 2nd and 3rd highest individual ratings on the slate and make for strong plays.

Good luck!
