I typically don’t play many showdown slates but decided to do some research on a slow day of DFS to see what the perfect lineup builds looked like. I accumulated 42 samples so far and here are my findings.

The average perfect slate score was 118 but when we have a pitcher at the captain spot it drops to 101. Batters at the captain spot on average scored 128. In this sample 0 pitchers were rostered 27%, 1 pitcher 44%, and 2 pitchers 27%. The average perfect lineup build would include a bat at the captain spot with 5 bats overall and 1 pitcher. I hope this provides some useful insight to future successful grinding.
