The Teacher’s Punts

This DK VALUE article will target cheap, price plays that will allow you to fit in those two expensive SP’s or that lineup that has an extra bat you are trying to get. When looking for salary relief, this article should be all you need. We will discuss each position so you can easily find the player you need salary relief from.

6 Game Slate

Jeff Mathis – $2000

If paying up for SP tonight, you have to cut cost somewhere. C is definitely the spot.

 Tyler Austin- $3800

Eric Hosmer – $3600

Not a lot of value at 1st base. I’m probably paying up for Olsen or Goldy

Rougned Odor – $3500

Brian Dozier – $3700

Donovan Solano – $2300 (only if desperate)

Odor and Dozier will see the most ownership in cash games. Solano got another hit last night. He’s batting 8th tonight so I would only play him in GPPs.

Kyle Seager – $3500

Machado and Longoria are in play for GPPs but their tough matchup will keep me off of them in cash games. Seager is projected at 7.1 DK points tonight and would be a solid salary relief player.

Tim Beckham – $3700

Beckham is a great cash game play tonight as has a .314 wOBA.

Khris Davis – $4200

Ian Desmond – $3800

Kyle Schwarber – $3700

Jose Martinez – $3200 (late addition)

Khris Davis continues to be way underpriced. Every night he’s on the slate, he is cash game viable. Desmond has a .364 and .253 wOBA and ISO and a couple solid consecutive games. Kyle Schwarber is my sleeper of the night batting leadoff for the Cubbies. Martinez is projected around 7 points and at $3200 is worth the look considering some of the low totals across the board today.

All of these players are solid fill-ins for your lineup when trying to spend at other positions.

For a couple cheap SP’s – Kikuchi is the cheapest on the board at $5900 and is GPP worthy. Steven Matz at $6800 will definitely be on a couple of my GPPs and possibly cash games as we have him projected around 18 DK points tonight.

Remember…. we find these value plays so we can always fit the GOAT in our lineups. Mike Trout. GL!!
