We are excited to cover the UFC Slate and provide you with the Tools to make your OWN UNIQUE LINEUPS. Let’s get to the slate and TOP PLAYS!!
Rundown Rules of Combat:
I want to make sure you get your money’s worth with his article. I have never been big on UFC MMA articles in the industry because they break down every match in a ton of depth and think they know exactly what will happen. Frankly you and I shouldn’t be here for an hour of reading expecting to come away with an encyclopedic assessment of this slate. We need the meat and potatoes here and we need a player pool and favorite plays. I want us both to come away from this article mutually happy and feel like Russell Crowe in Gladiator with the famous “Are you not Entertained” script line. We want the damn money and we want to Kill this thing…Lesgo!
- Calvin Kattar (21-4-0) v. Dan Ige (14-2-0)
DK Salaries: Kattar ($9,100), Ige ($7,100)
This fight should spend most of its time off the ground and although Kattar is not a high volume striker I feel he should dominate this one easily. Ige is someone you could punt with and if he was to dominate and win he would 100% be in the optimal lineup. It is easy here for me. Kattar in a decision or knockout win.
Kattar CORE CASH/GPP, Ige GPP
- Tim Elliott (16-11-1) v. Ryan Benoit (10-6-0)
DK Salaries: Elliott ($8,500), Benoit ($7,700)
Elliot has a lot of early movement and is highly active early in the fight. This is a fight I like the underdog as Benoit has real power and Elliot may gas. If Elliot finishes this fight it needs to be within two rounds or the momentum shifts. I like Benoit a lot and I think you either grab the underdog to shed salary or just avoid it altogether outside of GPP.
Elliot GPP, Benoit VALUE CASH/GPP
- Jimmie Rivera (22-4-0) v. Cody Stamann (19-2-1)
DK Salaries: Rivera ($8,400), Stamann ($7,800)
This one is gonna be fun. UFC just signed this fight within the last week and Stamann has fought recently and scored a victory from Brian Kelleher. He has some good hands but relies on his takedown ability to get to a ground and pound situation. Rivera has taken two L’s recently against two top class opponents. SO I think it could go either way and Rivera screams decision fighter. I think Cody can take him but either fighter can score here in a loss. That’s two underdogs for ya folks!
Rivera GPP, Stamann Cash/GPP
- Molly McCann (10-2-0) v. Taila Santos (15-1-0)
DK Salaries: McCann ($8,200), Santos ($8,000)
This fight is too close to call and I won’t have exposure to it since their is not any edge for me. I mean I think Santos wins here but the margins are razor thin and just not something I wanna mess with.
- Abdul Razak Alhassan (10-1-0) v. Mounir Lazzez (9-1-0)
DK Salaries: Alhassan ($9,200), Lazzez ($7,000)
This is very easy. Alhassan is a big fave here and a CASH LOCK for me. No reason to consider even reading on as I won’t give you any reason to dig and find some sliver of hope for Lazzez. He will and should be low owned and I will lock Alhassan in. This one has -510 odds to finish so get your popcorn ready for a KO!
Alhassan CASH, Lazzez (PUNT)
**For remaining fights I will give my winner prediction in BOLD and the player pool preference for that fight
- John Phillips (22-9-0, 1NC) v. Khamzat Chimaev (6-0-0)
DK Salaries: Phillips ($7,300), Chimaev ($8,900) – Chimaev CASH LOCK, Phillips Fade (This one is also -400 Odds to finish)
- Ricardo Ramos (14-2-0) v. Lerone Murphy (8-0-1)
DK Salaries: Ramos ($8,800), Murphy ($7,400) – Ramos GPP
- Diana Belbita (13-5-0) v. Liana Jojua (7-3-0)
DK Salaries: Belbita ($8,600), Jojua ($7,600) – Belbita CASH, Jojua GPP
- Leonardo Santos (17-4-1) v. Roman Bogatov (10-0-0) – Santos Cash/GPP
- Modestas Bukauskas (10-2-0) v. Andreas Michailidis (12-3-0)
DK Salaries: Bukauskas ($9,000), Michailidis ($7,200) – Bukaskas CASH
- Jared Gordon (15-4-0) v. Chris Fishgold (18-3-1)
DK Salaries: Gordon ($8,300), Fishgold ($7,900) – Another Pick-em FADE for me
- Jack Shore (12-0-0) v. Aaron Phillips (12-3-0)
DK Salaries: Shore ($9,400), Phillips ($6,800) – Shore CASH/GPP
- Jorge Gonzalez (16-5-0) v. Kenneth Bergh (8-0-0)
DK Salaries: Gonzalez ($7,500), Bergh ($8,700) – Bergh CASH
