Each week we rank the top players in the AFL that can be used in this weekends DraftKings contests.  It’s already WEEK 5 so let’s get started–

QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

  1. Arvell Nelson – WAS ($10,600) Leads the AFL in passing, rushing and total TD’s. Last week 7 TD’s (5 passing/2 rushing). Safest play on the board week in and week out.  CORE (Cash/GPP)
  2. Tommy Grady – ALB ($9,800) Leads the AFL in passing TD’s and completion percentage. Extremely reliable.  Only unbeaten QB left. (Cash/GPP)
  3. Dan Raudabaugh- PHL ($8,400). Second in the league in TD passes. Should be highest scoring game of week against leagues worst defense.  STACK.  CORE (Cash/GPP)
  4. Shane Boyd – BAL ($7,600)  Value play in high scoring shootout. (Cash/GPP)
  5. Grant Russell- CLB ($7,200)  Steep discount ($7.2) for a minimum 24 point floor (GPP)
  6. Randy Hippeard- AC ($7,800) WATCH STATUS (GPP)

WIDE RECEIVER RANKINGS

  1. Darius Prince – PHL ($9,400)  Top option of Raudabaugh (one of 3 PHL WR’s in league’s Top 10) 7-115-2 line last week. Second in league in receptions (32) and tied for first in TD’s (8). Fair price for what could be a huge game.  (Cash/GPP)
  2. Malachi Jones- ALB ($9,000) WATCH STATUS.  Top receiver on leagues only unbeaten team.  Playing expansion team.  Need to know more? (Cash/GPP)
  3. Fabian Guerra- CLB ($11,000)- WATCH STATUS. Had the game of a lifetime last week- 6 TD’s and 202 yards. He is now the highest salaried player in the league– which makes him a sweet contrarian pick. If he suits up he will be busy after losing Revis and possibly Wheelwright.
  4. Joe Hills -BAL ($8,600) Mr. Reliable keeps on chugging along — his TD streak is now at 97 games! Has went from one of the faces of the league to GPP “sneaky” play in only the matter of a few weeks.  Thompkins out for year and Collins limited all week ensure a heavier load of the offense on Hills back.  (GPP)
  5. Demetres Stephens- ALB ($4,800) If Jones and/or Sims miss he will vault up the rankings with a huge volume increase.  Already averaging 16 points a game with 4 TD’s in last 3 games in limited role. (GPP)
  6. Aaron Wascha – PHL ($8,200) Finally established as Philly #2. With a savings of $1.2K and same ceiling as Prince Wascha is in line for a big day in the shootout of the week  (GPP)
  7. Lamark Brown – AC ($7,000)  Mr. Consistency leads the AFL in TD’s with 11 (7 passng/4 rushing).  25 point floor. CORE
  8. Jenson Stoshak – CLB ($4,200)  Prime GPP and value play. Had poor game last week which put him in perfect low owned spot. If Guera is inactive this is the Play of the Day. (GPP)
  9. Dezmon Epps – WAS ($8,000)  Boom or Bust low floor high ceiling cover boy (GPP)
  10. Brandon Collins – BAL ($6,800) Limited all week but if he dresses can be a top 5 CORE WR (Cash/GPP)
  11. Kendrik Ings- AC (6,600)
  12. Reggie Gray- WAS ($6,200)
  13. Lonnie Outlaw PHL ($6,200)
  14. Jared Dangerfield- WAS ($6,000)
  15. Milton Williams – BAL ($5,000)  VALUE
