XFL DFS Top Plays Week 2

In XFL by devinLeave a Comment

Week 1 is in the books and it exceeded all expectations. The rule changes made for fun football and for it being the 1st ever week, the football was very watchable. The 2nd day wasn’t as good, but keep in mind 2 of the 4 teams on Sunday were playing backup QB’s. Now let’s dig in to week 2!

Quarterback

Worth Paying Up For

PJ Walker: Was the clear top play last week and did very well. Looked like an NFL player and is capable of taking off on the ground. In a league with suspect talent, take guys that look the part.

Value

BJ Daniels (if he starts): He’s cheap and is a scrambler. He is “okay” as a passer but he will run all over the place. We know how valuable that trait is by now when it comes to DFS.

Honorable Mention: Cardale Jones, Landry Jones

Runningback

“IF” Paying Up For

Jhurrell Pressley: As I’ve said before, you should only play one running back and really shouldn’t pay up for one. If you do, Pressley is your guy. He handled most of the RB touches and ran 14 pass routes. If using this much salary, you want a guy that’s going to be involved.

Value

Nick Holley: He’s a WR listed at RB. There’s a bunch of mouths to feed to in Houston, but with them running as many plays as they are, it lessens the risk. He’s running the routes and getting the tablets to be fully in the mix.

Honorable Mention: Lance Dunbar

Wide Receiver

Worth Paying Up For

Nelson Spruce: Everywhere he has played, he has been a target monster. He’s a player that can actually, and consistently, make plays with those targets (unlike Sammie Coates). If Josh Johnson plays, I like him even more.

Value

Joe Horn Jr: He is dirt cheap and had 7 targets last week. He ran 30 routes as well but only had 2 catches. He has the pedigree and with this much involvement, he’s a guy I’ll be using.

Honorable Mention: L’Damien Washington
