Worth Paying Up For
Jalen Hurts (Fanduel Only)- You are essentially paying for a high floor here. Hurts worst game of the season was against a great Baylor defense where he still scored 34.28 Fanduel points. Here he gets a much easier matchup against OKST. Safe to expect 40 points or so here.
Jamie Newman (Draftkings Only)- A few things here. 1. Syracuse is an absolute mess right now. they have lost 4 of their last 5 games and given up over 55 points in 2 of the last 3 games. 2. Newman has huge upside considering he is the QB and goal line back. 3. Vegas has this game at a total of 69 with a 3.5 point spread. After a blistering first 10 games of the season, Newman struggled for 2 straight games but got back on track last week against Duke. Look for another 30+ point performance here.
Justin McMillan (Draftkings Only)- Tulane and SMU have a slate high game total of 71 and a 3.5 point spread. McMillan takes on an SMU defense that is giving up 436.3 yards per game and 32.9 points per game. Add in McMillans rushing upside and he brings nice upside at a discount. He has eclipsed 20 Draftkings points in 8 of 11 games this year and should do so once again here.
Tyler Huntley (Fanduel Only)- There isn’t a ton of value at QB on Fanduel and I am not sure QB is where you want to pay down. But if you do, Huntley finds himself in a smash spot against a Colorado defense giving up a whopping 299.5 yards per game.
Worth Paying Up For
Travis Etienne (Draftkings Only)- After a slow start to the year for Clemson as a whole, they got back to their bread and butter, Etienne. A lot like the Hurts play above, this is about paying for a floor. Etienne has double digit points every single game this year, including 6 straight of 23+.
Zack Moss (Fanduel Only)- Most will probably go with Chuba Hubbard, and understandably so. But don’t overlook Moss. Moss has 5 straight games over 24.1 Fanduel points and has only been getting better this season as he gets healthier (came in to the year off a big injury). 3 of his last 4 have gone over 30 and he should eat here once again.
Shamari Brooks (Draftkings Only)- Don’t let last weeks 9 carries full you. That was due to Houstons lack of ability to stop the pass (over 300 yards allowed per game through the air), leading to a pass heavy approach by Tulsa. Today Tulsa takes on an ECU team who is better against the pass (255 yards allowed) than Houston but much worse against the run, giving up 195.9 yards per game on the ground. Expect more along the lines of 20+ carries here from Brooks.
Kennedy Brooks (Fanduel Only)- The Sooners backfield has been very frustrating all season as they have been utilizing multiple backs a week and Hurts steals a lot of carries. But the last 3 weeks, Brooks has finally emerged as the true lead back for Oklahoma. His last 3 weeks he has increased carries each week with 15 against ISU, 18 against Baylor and 25 against TCU.
Worth Paying Up For
Kendall Hinton (Draftkings Only)- With Surratt done for the year and Scotty Washington banged up, Hinton is the clear number 1 WR for Wake. In 2 of the last 3 weeks, Hinton has eclipsed 150 yards. Pairs with our pay up QB in Newman.
Justin Jefferson (Fanduel Only)- Jefferson finds himself $900 cheaper than teammate Chase. He is a cheaper way to get exposure to LSU and their monster 40 point implied total. He is averaging 94.27 yards per game on 8 targets a game.
Tyler Snead (Draftkings Only)- Talk about a hot stretch. In Sneads last 2 weeks he has an INSANE 35 catches for 366 yards!!! Again, thats the last 2 weeks only! The matchup doesn’t appear to be that good this week, but it wasn’t much better last week and Snead still delivered with 31 DK points.
Johnny Johnson III- Johnson is coming off a career day with 207 yards and 2 TD’s last week. That followed up a strong 89 yards, 1 TD day. And 3 games ago he had a 5 catch, 90 yard performance. Johnson is trending up the last month and gets a smash matchup against an Oregon State defense who is giving up 285 yards per game through the air.
Wake Forest @ Syracuse- We already mentioned some Wake Forest plays above. Well don’t sleep on Syracuse here too. Devito, Neal and Jackson are all viable.
Tulane @ SMU- Another game we briefly mentioned above. 71 point total with only a 3.5 point spread. Putting both teams in play. For SMU, Buchele, Jones, Proche & Rice lead the way. While Tulane brings us mainly the McMillan play, as highlighted above.
Oklahoma @ Oklahoma State- You should already know by now a few of the names from both of these teams has we have frequently targeted plays from both. Hurts, Lamb, Brooks standout for Oklahome while Brown, Stoner and Hubbard are viable on the other side.
