Welcome back for yet another MAC mid week slate. Last night’s slate was drastically better and actually went exactly according to script. Akron got blown out and the Ohio game was close with both teams scoring over 30. Tonight features some ugly positions (like QB) and some news that we will need before lock, which I will update the article with that final news once/if I can find it! Let’s dig in.

Ross Bowers- Yikes. QB is BRUTAL tonight. Bowers is coming off 2 really poor games in a row, but is in a nice spot to bounce back here. Toledo is giving up a slate high 271 yards through the air a game while Bowers averages a slate high 243 yards through the air. The yards should be there, question is, will the TDs be?

UPDATE! Shoutout to the Toledo rockets beat writer for responding. Eli Peters starting has meant an extremely run heavy approach the last two weeks, giving a boost to Koback and Seymour. But Koback “giving it a try” definitely carries some risk!

Jaylon Bester- Miami is 18 points favorites here with a slate high implied total of 33.5. Game flow is in the run games favor. Add to it the fact that BGSU is getting torched on the ground to the tune of 214.4 yards allowed on the ground per game. Ceiling game potential for Bester.

* A few more notes worth mentioning. Koback is questionable. If he is out, Shakif Seymour becomes the workhorse back. Matchup isn’t great, but the usage should be high. Also worth nothing, Andrew Clair is banged up, leading to some more carries for Denley the last few weeks. Both RB’s are in play.

Cole Tucker- The leading receiver for NIU. We already mentioned Toledo’s struggle stopping the pass when we discussed Bowers above. Tucker has 69+ yards in 4 of his last 5 games. Look for more of the same here.

As I mentioned in the opener, we will need some news here. Check back before lock for any potential updates! Good luck!
