CFB Top Plays 11/9

Happy CFB Saturday! Today features the biggest game of the year, LSU @ Bama! Let’s take a look at a few plays to consider at each position.

QB

Worth Paying Up For

Jamie Newman- With Cade Carney having a dreadful year, Jamie Newman has become not just the QB but the goal line back.

Tua/Burrow- If you believe his game is a shootout, then both of these guys are worth a look. (monitor Tua’s status)

Value

Skylar Thompson- Draftkings points his last 3 starts: 27.68, 36.42, 38.86. Taking on a Texas defense that gives up 465 yards of total offense a game.

Jett Duffey- Averaging 43 pass attempts per game his last 4 starts. Hasn’t shown it much, but also has rushing upside. West Virginia is giving up 413 yards of total offense a game.

RB

Worth Paying Up For

Cam Akers- Workhorse back averaging 110 yards on 22 attempts a game plus 20 receiving yards on 4 targets a game BC is giving up a whopping 482 yards of total offense a game.

Xavier Jones- A disappointing performance last week could reduce his ownership here. Don’ let that deter you though. Jones has 20+ DK points every game this season but 2 and takes on an ECU team who gives up 204 yards per game on the ground. Game flow in favor as well.

J.K. Dobbins– MONSTER. Fear of the blowout is there, but it hasn’t mattered all season for Dobbins as he continues to smash, even in blowouts.

Value

SaRodorick Thompson- Thompson has taken over as the lead back for Tech. Takes on a weak WVU offense giving up 177 yards per game on the ground.

Tony Mathis- With Pettaway done for the year to redshirt, a banged up McKoy and an ineffective Leddie Brown, Tony Mathis is expected to make his debut. Keep in mind it isn’t a lock that Mathis plays, but the coach did say in his weekly presser a “probable appearance for true freshman Tony Mathis”. At minimum salary, could be worth considering.

WR

Worth Paying Up For

James Proche- Second in the nation with 12.2 targets per game. With Roberson most likely out, Proche is a lock for at least 12 targets once again. Proche had 18 targets last week with Roberson out.

Sage Surratt- Also a target monster with 11.8 a game, slate high 118 yards per game and aking on a VT defense who is giving up over 400 yards of total offense a game.

Value

C.J. Johnson- Anybody care to explain how this guy is only 5.5k? 52 targets since week 2. Yes, 52! Over his last 4 games, Johnson has an insane 574 yards. Oh and SMU gives up 280 yards per game through the air.

Kylen Granson/Rashee Rice- With Roberson out, Granson and Rice get expanded roles. Last week both responded with Granson scoring 23.9 DK points while Rice added 26.2. We will need to keep an eye on Rice to make sure he is active though. He is a freshman and last week marked his 4th game of the year. SMU gives up his redshirt if he plays.

Winston Wright- As long as Simmons is out for WVU, Wright should be looking at another start. He has also officially been named the starting kick returner after returning a 95 yarder to the house in his first game in that role. All for only 3k.
