Welcome to another edition of Friday Night Lights. Today brings us a 2 game CFB slate with some major conference teams, which is a nice change from the wild small conference games. Today we are going to do things a tad different and just take a look at a few of the top plays at each position. Let’s dig in!
Dillon Gabriel- Pretty clearly the top QB on the board, Gabriel and the UCF offense are projected to score a slate high 43.25 points. Gabriel has scored 20+ Draftkings points in 6 of 9 games, and that includes a few where he was splitting reps. He also has 3 straight over 20, 2 of which were over 30.
RB is a tough position today for a few reason. 1. The return of Jermar Jefferson leads to a time share for Oregon State in what is a tough matchup. 2. UCF could get Greg McCrae back tonight, which would just add one more body to an already deep UCF backfield. So we are looking at timeshares across the board with the exception being the player we are going to talk about next and Shamari Brooks, who has a tough matchup and even with close to 20 touches a game, has failed to reach double digits 4 of his last 5.
Salvon Ahmed- Ahmed is averaging 16 carries a game for 89 ards and .88 TD’s a game. He gets an Oregon State team that gives up 439 yards of total offense a game and 32.4 poinsts per game. After a tough game against a solid Utah defense, look for Ahmed to be back in the 20+ Draftkings point range.
Marlon Williams- USF has some stud WR’s in Gabriel Davis and Tre Nixon, and both are absolutely in play. But you can’t just jam in all the pricey plays without some value. Marlon Williams provides you exposure to the UCF offense at a discount. Over his last 3 games, Williams has 12.8, 17.1 and 15.1 Draftkings points.
The Images posed are an example of what our CFB cheat sheet looks like. For tomorrow’s cheat sheet, each player will also be labeled; Cash/GPP, GPP, Value or Punt. Utilize the posted pics as a way to build your lineup!
