Welcome back NHL fans. Another MONSTER 13 game slate tonight. Let’s dig right in.
Florida/Boston/Edmonton 1– When we have such a large slate, we really can’t afford to whiff on our expensive plays. That is why I prefer to spend up on lines that do the heavy lifting for a team. As you will see on our Line Production chart at the bottom of this writeup, these 3 lines are the top 3 producing lines of the slate based on home/away splits. As a bonus, outside of Kassain, all of these lines are also on the top PP unit together. Fill out any stacks here with the PP defenders and/or value pieces around these plays.
Worth considering: Dallas 1 + Heiskanen, Carolina PP1, Vegas PP1/2, TB PP1
Columbus 1- Columbus has one of the top projected totals of the day. Which speaks more to how bad Detroit is defensively than anything. But Columbus 1 has been sneakily very good. Pierre-Luc Dubois finds himself 2nd in our cheat sheet rankings today while his linemate, Emil Bemstrom is quietly putting together a nice run. Bemstrom is riding a 5 game point streak and starting to find his footing in the NHL.
Others worth considering: NYI 2
Max Pacioretty– Fanduel refuses to move Patches price up. Max has points in 9 of his last 11 and 3 straight multi point games.
Zach Parise- On the flip side, Draftkings remains super soft with the Wild pricing. Parise is a whopping $1700 cheaper on DK than he is FD. Points in 4 of 5 and 3 straight.
Alex Killorn- We mentioned Alex on Tuesday and he once again delivered. Playing extremely well right now with points in 5 straight. He also is a cheap way to get exposure to all of the TB big boys as he is on the top PP.
Nate Schmidt- Another Fanduel misprice. Schmidt is $1200 cheaper on FD than he is DK. Points in 3 of his last 4 and blocking/shooting enough to give him a nice floor.
Cody Eakin- Yet another Knight finds their way here. Knights shuffled their lines the other day and the result is Eakin on the 2nd line with Mark Stone/Jonathan Marchessult. Eakin has responded with goals in 2 straight. He is also seeing a season high in minutes with 18 last game.
Martin Necas- Not putting up huge numbers due to a lack of ice time, but he has points in 7 of his last 8 games.
The top Vegas plays are Tuuka Rask, Ben Bishop and Jordan Binnington, all very much cash viable. Joonas Korpisalo and Sergio Bobrovsky are worth considering for value while Alex Stalock once again fins himself viable as a punt.
Points scored by each teams line + defensive pairs based on home/away splits. Great way to identify stack worthy lines!
