NHL Top Plays 11/5

In NHL by devinLeave a Comment

Welcome back hockey fans! Monday’s 4 game stack was a wild one but also a very profitable one if you stacked our top line in Boston 1. Let’s take a look at today’s much larger 11 game slate!

Top Plays

Toronto Top 6– Toronto is at home taking on the LA Kings. The Kings are allowing an insane 4.86 goals per game on the road, dead last in the league by a decent clip. Meanwhile, Toronto is top 10 in the league with 3.67 goals per game at home. Not a surprise to see Toronto with the highest total on the board of 4 goals, a number which could rise even more if Tavares returns.

Auston Matthews leads the way here and is going to be chalk city. He has 14 points in 9 home games, 10 of which are goals! For cheaper exposure. Andreas Johnsson is a big splits guy who finds most of his success at home. Of his 55 career points, 42 of them came at home in only 52 home games. He is continuing that trend this year with 8 points in 9 home games.

Mitchell Marner and Morgan Reilly also warrant consideration here as both are averaging over a point per game at home. Marner has 12 points in 9 home games with only 1 of those being a goal. He is an elite goal scorer and due for some positive regression there. Reilly has 10 points in 9 home games. William Nylander and Tyson Barrie round out the top plays here and if he plays, Tavares is also in play. Top play- Auston Matthews

Other Top lines- SJ PP1, VGK 2

GPP (Cash viable as well)

Vancouver 2- In 5 home games the Canucks have scored a whopping 27 goals, good for 5.4 goals a game!!! The only thing keeping the Vancouver total down here is Jordan Binnington. Right now their implied goal total is 3.2 goals but I feel that is too low considering the Blues have actually given up 3.57 goals per game on the road.

Elias Pettersson- 9 points in 5 home games. Brock Boeser- 8 points in 5 home games. J.T. Miller- 9 points in 5 home games. Add in Alex Edler (7 points in 5 home games) and Bo Horvat (4 points in 5 home games) as viable pieces to add to your VAN2 stack. All 5 are on the top PP unit together as well. Top play- Elias Pettersson.

Other GPP stacks- Boston 1, NJD 3

Top Value

New York Islanders Top 6- Don’t look now, but the Islanders have won 9 straight! The best defensive team in the league, the Islanders continue to do just enough offensively to win. A big part of the Islanders run has been the emergence of the 2nd line which are very affordable. Today they take on the Ottawa Senators who are on the 2nd night of a road B2B. The Sens were able to slow down the Rangers today, but still are giving up almost 4 goals a game on the road and should be starting their backup goalie.

Derick Brassard- 5 points in 8 home games, goal in 5 straight! Anthony Beauvillier- 5 points in 8 home games. Brock Nelson- 6 points in 8 home games. This line has been very good, especially lately, and comes at a solid discount. All 3 also get PP time. On the pricier side, the top line of Anders Lee (8 points in 8 home games), Matthew Barzal (7 points in 8 home games) and Josh Bailey (9 points in 8 home games) have also been very good as of late. Finish out any stacks with PP defenders. Top Value- Derick Brassard

Other Top Values- SJ cheap wingers on top 6

One Offs

Nate Schmidt– An underrated player. Schmidt has been very aggressive since returning to the lineup with 7 shots, 5 blocks a goal and an assist in 2 games.

Ivan Provorov- Provorov’s splits this year are beyond drastic. In 13 games, he has 9 points on the season. 8 of which have come at home! He is averaging just under 15 DK points per game at home this season.

Mathieu Perreault- I hate writing up a 4th line player, but Perreault is getting PP1 time as of late. At near minimum price on both Fanduel & Draftkings, Perrault is a viable punt considering his PP exposure and Winnipegs high implied total. He is also coming off a 2 goal game, which never hurts.
